The last day(s) – Goodbye Vietnam
Well, this is it. The final post about our adventures in Vietnam…. Last day in Dalat The last day in Dalat was pretty much just about making sure we had all our things packed and gathered. We also needed to pick up the video footage that was taped at the photoshoot and our wedding. [...] -
Day 16 – The road back to Dalat
I just wanted to leave this hotel as soon as possible. Before doing so we headed over to Nas brother-in-laws house (phew) to eat some breakfast. We stayed there for a little while before taking a taxi out to a bus stop, where our transportation to Dalat would arrive. It has to be one [...] -
Day 15 – The War Museum and breaking of the fellowship
I wasn’t too excited about this day. My parents and both of my friends were going home today without us. Me and Na are traveling home on the 24th. Last night after we arrived in Ho Chi Minh City we booked some rooms at the DONA Hotel. Not your typical top of the line hotel, but [...] -
Day 13 – The vinpearl waterpark and food problems.
Breakfast today was, for lack of better words, total bullshit. There was nothing even remotely interesting at the buffet…so i actually ended up with 3 slices of bread..what a total letdown. The only saving grace was the cheese and butter i consumed in addition. Don’t get me wrong, the selection itself is pretty good and [...] -
Day 11 – Romantic dinner and more swimming lessons..
If todays description at the buffet breakfast was correct…then i have actually aten crocodile meat! The yellow slices of meat on the right side of the plate: The smaller-than-AA batteries springrolls weren’t bad. I have stopped eating vegetables however, because everytime i eat them i get the shits. I don’t know why, but i take the [...] -
Day 10 – Relaxing at the pool and karaoke
Breakfast at the Orchid restaurant is served from 0600 to 1000, which means we have to get up pretty early if we wanna get some food there. Like i mentioned in my previous post, it’s a buffet style restaurant and i really don’t like it at all. The food itself isnt really the problem, but [...] -
Day 8 – Next to tee off…
Me and Na got our own room at the Saigon-Dalat Hotel, which was were we held our wedding. For the first night since i came here, i actually slept really well. It was a nice room with a large and comfortable bed. The balcony gave a nice little view over the area as well: After getting [...] -
Day 6 – Eggs with sunny side up…and a fly?
After another night of little sleep it was time to gather up the gang and head out for some food. I was feeling really hungry this morning! Na had some wedding business to take care of , so she had went out ahead of us. Most of us got ready pretty quick except for Tommy [...] -
Day 3 – Checking out Dalat and the emperors new clothes.
This is how our room looked like after our fantastic unpacking at 0600 in the morning, before going to sleep… It looks alot (well a bit..) more tidy now though. I woke up around 8-9am (yai for 3-4 hours of sleep) and since i had nothing better to do i started writing (the result is the [...] -
Day 1 – Sleepless from Norway to Singapore.
As i had feared, i was unable to get any sleep before our early departure to the airport. I tried lying down on the couch at about 12, but i guess too many thoughts and general excitement put a stop to that. Instead i ended up chatting with my friend André ’til about 3:30 in [...]
